Distribué par Warner Bros., produit par Christopher Nolan et écrit par David S. Goyer, c'est une suite de Man of Steel. Basé sur les personnages de DC Comics Batman et Superman, le film est le troisième redémarrage de la franchise cinématographique Batman et le second film de l'univers cinématographique DC. Le film mettra en scène Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane et Laurence Fishburne pour reprendre leurs rôles du premier film, avec Ben Affleck et Gal Gadot qui rejoignent le casting pour interpréter respectivement Batman et Wonder Woman.
